Earthquake shakes western Turkey

An earthquake of 5.1 magnitude shook Turkey's western Manisa province on Saturday, according to the country’s Disaster and Emergency Management Authority (AFAD).

The earthquake hit Saruhanli district of Manisa at 06.53 p.m local time (1553GMT) at a depth of 28.85 kilometers (17 miles), AFAD said.

No causalities have been reported, the AFAD Manisa director Bekir Sen said.
