Today President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev has attended the opening ceremony of new metro stations, “Avtovagzal” and “Memar Ajami - 2”.

The chairman of Baku Metro CJSC" Zaur Huseynov spoke about the conceptual development plan of Baku Metro lines to the head of state.

The head of state cut the ribbon symbolizing the opening of the “Avtovagzal” station.

Ilham Aliyev familiarized with the conditions created here.

Then, President Ilham Aliyev has come to the station “Memar Ajami - 2" from station "Avtovagzal” by train.

The President was informed that the high quality of the repair work has been carried out, the stations meet the latest requirements.

"Memar Ajami" station’s total length is 168.5 meters. There are three exits of station.

17 escalators installed in exits.

There are lifts for physical disabilities people.

During construction mainly local raw materials were used for both stations.
