Pashinyan flies through Azerbaijani airspace on foreign visit

The plane of the Armenian Prime Minister flew through Azerbaijani airspace for an international visit on August 30 and returned to Armenia on the night of September 6.

Axar.az informs, citing Armenian media, according to the Prime Minister’s press secretary, Nazeli Bagdasaryan.

“After the peace agreement reached in Washington on August 8, Armenian authorities requested permission from Azerbaijan for the Prime Minister’s flight and received a positive response. We see this as a practical step toward reopening regional communication, promoting the peace agenda, and building mutual trust.

For context, Azerbaijani flights have long connected the main part of Azerbaijan with the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic via Armenian airspace,” she said.
