Russia insists that the Japanese authorities fully recognize the consequences of World War II, as well as Tokyo's share of responsibility for the outbreak of the global conflict.

Axar.az reports that this was stated in the congratulatory message of Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov to the organizers and participants of the solemn meeting on the occasion of the end of World War II.

"The consequences of World War II in the Pacific, including the act of surrender of Japan, became an integral part of the post-war Yalta-Potsdam world order. We insist on the Japanese authorities to fully recognize the international legal consequences of the victory of the Allied powers, as well as their share of responsibility," Lavrov said.
