Google hit with €2.95B EU fine over digital ads monopoly

The European Commission (EC) has fined Google 2.95 billion euros for abuses in the EU advertising market.

Axar.az reports that this is stated in the EC statement.

“The Commission has decided to impose a fine of 2.95 billion euros for Google’s systematic abuse of its dominant position in the European digital market for the promotion of goods and services,” the statement said.

It should be noted that the investigation into Google has been ongoing since 2023.
