Former Home Secretary Yvette Cooper has been appointed Foreign Secretary.

Axar.az reports that this was stated in a statement from the office of British Prime Minister Keir Starmer.

"Yvette Cooper has been appointed Secretary of State for Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Affairs. Cooper, 56, replaces David Lemmy, who has been appointed Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Justice. The vacant post of head of the country's Ministry of Home Affairs has been taken by Shabana Mahmud, who previously headed the Ministry of Justice," it was reported.
