Azerbaijan’s Ombudsman, Sabina Aliyeva, continues to monitor the situation of the “Sputnik Azerbaijan” journalists and other Russian nationals who were detained in Baku more than two months ago.
Axar.az informs RIA Novosti reported the news citing the Office of the Commissioner for Human Rights.
"At the direction of Human Rights Commissioner (Ombudsman) Sabina Aliyeva, the matter remains under the supervision of representatives of the National Preventive Group. The group meets with family members at the office, reviews and resolves incoming requests promptly and in accordance with the law, and provides assistance when necessary. Their most recent meeting with relatives took place recently," the response to journalists’ inquiries stated.
