Russia could use Azerbaijan route for rail cargo to Armenia

The Russian Federation will be able to carry out rail freight transportation to Armenia through Azerbaijan once regional communications are reopened.

Axar.az informs, citing TASS, Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan announced this.

He noted that discussions are ongoing about Russia potentially using this route to deliver goods to Armenian territory.

Pashinyan also added that Armenia and the United States are currently in talks on building a railway that would connect Azerbaijan with the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic.
