Pashinyan invites Erdogan to 2026 EPC summit in Yerevan

Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan stated that he has officially invited Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan to visit Yerevan to take part in the European Political Community (EPC) summit in May 2026.

Axar.az informs “I have officially invited the President of Turkiye to participate in the EPC summit in Yerevan. I hope that President Erdogan will accept the invitation and attend,” he said while answering questions from participants at the “Building Peace and Multilateral Cooperation” forum in Yerevan on Tuesday.

According to him, Armenia has an institutional and ongoing connection with both Azerbaijan and Turkiye, and relations between Armenia and Turkiye “are on the right track.”

“The opening of the border and the establishment of diplomatic relations between the two countries are only a matter of time. The question is how long it will take us to complete this process,” Pashinyan noted.
