Sierra Leone assumes UN Security Council presidency

Sierra Leone will chair the UN Security Council in November.

Axar.az reports that this was announced by the country's permanent representative to the UN and the Council's chairman for November, Ambassador Michael Imran Kanu.

The ambassador said at a press conference in New York that the Council will discuss a number of important issues during the month.

A high-level debate on conflicts and food security will be held on November 17.
