Armenian schools to introduce Azerbaijani language courses

In the 2025–2026 academic year, Azerbaijani language courses will be introduced in three public schools in Armenia.

Axar.az reports that this was announced by Armenia’s Ministry of Education, Science, Culture, and Sports.

According to the program, Azerbaijani and Turkish languages will be taught to students in grades 10–12, while Persian and Georgian will be introduced starting from grade 5. The program will be voluntary and depend on the availability of qualified teachers.

The initiative is being implemented within the framework of the state education program.
