Bayramov: Azerbaijan–Armenia enter most stable period

Today, unlike the unstable OSCE region, Azerbaijan and Armenia are experiencing the most peaceful and stable period. Both sides are moving towards the implementation of concrete measures at the levels of government, parliament, and civil society in various dimensions.

Axar.az reports that Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov said this during his speech at the 32nd meeting of the OSCE Ministerial Council in Vienna.

According to him, in order to give an additional impetus to the peace process, Azerbaijan has unilaterally lifted the transit restrictions on goods with respect to Armenia as a goodwill gesture.

“As Azerbaijan has been promoting for many years, these achievements clearly demonstrate that direct bilateral negotiations are the best way forward. Azerbaijan, as the initiator of the peace agenda, is committed to this path and expects mutual political will and responsibility from Armenia. In this context, we emphasize the crucial importance of goodwill and timely implementation of all commitments for the sake of completing the normalization process,” the minister noted.
