European leaders warn Zelensky of possible US betrayal

European leaders have urged Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky to be cautious about the United States, as he could betray Kyiv and Europe in talks with the Kremlin.

Axar.az informs that Der Spiegel reported this, citing a transcript of a conversation between European leaders after talks in Florida.

“The conversation was attended by French President Emmanuel Macron, German Chancellor Friedrich Merz, Finnish President Alexander Stubb, Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk, Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni, NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte, European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen, and others. During the conversation, Macron warned that Washington could interfere in the territorial issue and not provide security guarantees to Ukraine. Stubb, in turn, added that Zelensky cannot be left alone with Kushner and Wittkoff. Merz stressed that the Ukrainian president should be careful in the coming days, because the United States is playing games with both him and Europe,” the report said.
