Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov received Arguj Kalantarli, Secretary General of the International Civil Defense Organization (ICDO).

J. Bayramov congratulated A. Kalantarli on his election as the first representative of our country to the position of Secretary General of the organization within the framework of the 3rd extraordinary session of the General Assembly of the International Civil Defense Organization held in Baku this year, and emphasized that this election is an indicator of Azerbaijan's international prestige and growing role in the field of civil defense.

The meeting exchanged views on the prospects for strengthening international cooperation in the field of civil defense, combating natural and man-made disasters, cooperation and exchange of experience in the field of humanitarian aid.

During the meeting, the Secretary General provided detailed information on the organization's activities, priority areas and plans.
