Azerbaijani teen pilot shines in Madeira -

Azerbaijani young pilot Davin Jafarov successfully completed the last karting season in Madeira, Portugal.

Axar.az reports that the 16-year-old pilot competed in the DD2 MAX category for the first time.

He was the only pilot representing the "BirelArt" team in the tournament.

The three-day race took place in adverse weather conditions. Although D. Jafarov finished third on the 1,040-meter-long Madeira track, he became the center of attention by setting the fastest lap of the race.

D. Jafarov also made history as the first foreign pilot to compete on the Madeira track. Thus, the young athlete concluded the current karting season.

The next karting season is scheduled to start in February 2026. D. Jafarov is scheduled to participate in the world and European championships next year, as well as a number of international tournaments. The young pilot will continue his preparation for the new season in Portugal and Spain.
