Rubio may play a leading role in governing Venezuela

Following the arrest of Venezuelan President Nicolás Maduro, U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio could play a leading role in the United States’ administration of Venezuela.

Axar.az reports that Bloomberg cited an unnamed U.S. official as saying this.

“The White House currently has no clear plan for governing the oil-rich country of nearly 30 million people. However, U.S. President Donald Trump has openly stated that he is paying close attention to the country’s oil industry,” the report said.

It should be noted that yesterday the U.S. military struck Caracas and captured President Maduro and his wife, taking them to the United States.
