Aliyev and Pashinyan shake hands at Peace Council meeting

Against a background with the word PEACE written in capital letters, the President of Azerbaijan and the Prime Minister of Armenia shook hands. While this moment may seem coincidental, it carries deep symbolic meaning. Azerbaijan’s President Ilham Aliyev is attending the inaugural meeting of the Peace Council as a founding member state. As the Founding Chairman of the Peace Council, President Donald Trump once again emphasized the Azerbaijan-Armenia peace agenda.

Axar.az reports that this was stated by Hikmat Hajiyev, Assistant to the President of Azerbaijan and Head of the Foreign Policy Department of the Presidential Administration.
