Turkish Parliament to commemorate Khojaly genocide

An event marking the 34th anniversary of the Khojaly genocide is scheduled for February 25 at the conference hall of the Press, Publications and Public Relations Department of the Grand National Assembly of Turkiye.

Axar.az reports that the commemoration, organized to honor the victims of the tragic events in Khojaly, is being initiated by the Turkiye-Azerbaijan Friendship, Cooperation and Solidarity Foundation based in Ankara.

The event will be held under the auspices of the Grand National Assembly of Turkiye, with organizational support provided by the Embassy of Azerbaijan in Turkiye.

Additionally, the human rights commissioners (ombudsmen) of both Azerbaijan and Turkiye are expected to attend the event, highlighting the continued collaboration between the two countries on commemorating historical tragedies and promoting human rights.
