Putin expresses condolences to Iran over Khamenei’s death

The killing of Iran’s Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei and his relatives was carried out in a cynical violation of all norms of human morality and international law.

Axar.az, citing TASS, reports this was emphasized by Russian President Vladimir Putin in a message of condolences to Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian.

“Please accept my deep condolences in connection with the assassination of the Supreme Leader of the Islamic Republic of Iran, Seyed Ali Khamenei, and members of his family, committed in cynical violation of all norms of human morality and international law,” the telegram published on the Kremlin’s website states.
