Trump plans to attend NATO summit in Ankara

U.S. President Donald Trump plans to attend the NATO summit scheduled to take place in Ankara on July 7–8.

Axar.az reports, citing Anadolu Agency, Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan said Turkiye expects Trump to participate in the summit.

“As far as we know, yes, he plans to attend,” Fidan said, noting that Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan spoke with Trump several times last month and that the U.S. president indicated during each conversation that he intended to attend the gathering.
