Azerbaijan, Spain discuss Middle East tensions

On March 1, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Azerbaijan Jeyhun Bayramov, and Minister of Foreign Affairs, European Union and Cooperation of the Kingdom of Spain Jose Manuel Albares Bueno held a telephone conversation.

Axar.az reports that during the phone call, they exchanged views on the current tense security situation and military escalation in the Middle East region.

They emphasized the importance of preserving stability in the region, and the significance of diplomatic channels and political dialogue in preventing further escalation of tensions.

Within the current circumstances, they discussed ensuring the safety of foreign citizens in the escalation zone and possible cooperation regarding the possible evacuation of Spanish citizens from Iran through the Azerbaijani border.
