Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan FMs hold phone talks

Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov held a phone conversation with Kazakh Foreign Minister Yermek Kosherbayev, the Azerbaijani Foreign Ministry said.

Axar.az reports that during the call, the ministers discussed the strategic partnership between Azerbaijan and Kazakhstan, as well as the current state and prospects of bilateral and multilateral cooperation.

They highlighted the importance of close cooperation and mutual support within international and regional organizations, stressing the need to continue coordinated efforts on multilateral platforms.

The two ministers also exchanged views on activities carried out under Azerbaijan's chairmanship of the Conference on Interaction and Confidence Building Measures in Asia (CICA) and discussed upcoming initiatives.

Bayramov welcomed Kazakhstan's high-level participation in Turkic World Week, held in Azerbaijan to mark the 100th anniversary of the First Turkological Congress, noting its importance in promoting the shared history, culture, and heritage of the Turkic world and strengthening solidarity among Turkic nations.

The ministers also discussed other regional and international issues of mutual interest.
