Putin sent message to Gentiloni

Putin confirms readiness to boost Russian-Italian cooperation in message to Gentiloni also wished him a Merry Christmas and a happy New Year.

Axar.az informs, Russian President Vladimir Putin has congratulated Italian Prime Minister Paolo Gentiloni on his assumption of office, the Kremlin press service said in a statement.

"In his congratulatory message, the Russian president expressed confidence that Gentiloni’s vast political experience and great knowledge would help him successfully fulfill his responsibilities as Italy’s prime minister," the statement reads.

Putin also said that in Russia the new Italian prime minister was known as a supporter of meaningful and mutually beneficial relations between the two counties. The Russian leader confirmed his readiness to boost bilateral ties in every field and coordinate efforts aimed at solving the pressing issues on the European and global agenda.
