The number of Syrian refugees in Zangilan is not so high that they should be given special attention.

The Russian political analyst and historian Oleg Kuznetsov said these words while speaking to Axar.az about the decision of EU to allocate 3 million euros to Syrian refugees in Armenia.

"In my view, this issue should be analyzed in two ways - from political and practical aspects. From a political point of view, due to the international law, this step should be regarded as a violation of sovereignty and territorial integrity of Azerbaijan. After the return of Karabag to Azerbaijan, refugees from Armenian origin who moved from Syria to Zangilan should be deported to either Syria or Armenia. There can be no other way. These refugees can only stay in the area where they are relocated so that the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan will pardon or give citizenship to Armenians in the area concerned.

Practically, there are not many Syrian refugees in Zangilan, so special attention is paid to them. If so, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Azerbaijan and the press would always keep this issue on the agenda. No, if we take the matter impartial, then 3 million euros can help hundreds of Armenian refugees from Syria. Their transfer to Zangilan is a clear propaganda and a political PR. It's important to understand that these people are not as foolish as to change a war with one another. "

According to Kuznetsov, there is a special purpose transferring Syrian refugees to Zangilan:

" The refugees have agreed to move to this area in a convenient way in order to obtain asylum in European countries and to benefit from the benefits of refugeeism. If you are interested in the number of Syrian-Armenian refugees placed in Nagorno-Karabakh, their number does not exceed 10-15 families.
