Macron’s approval rating falls to record-low 16%

The citizen support for the French president, Emmanuel Macron, has reduced to 16%, the lowest level since he arrived at the Elysee and even below that recorded during the full mobilization of the Yellow Vests, according to a new survey.

Axar.az reports, citing Democrata, that the Prime Minister, Sebastien Lecornu, also marks political ground with only 20% of favorable opinions.

The survey, conducted by the Ipsos-Bva-Cesi School of Engineers for "La Tribune Dimanche," indicates that Macron has lost five points compared to July, while negative evaluations rise to 81%, after increasing seven points in recent months.

"The situation is even worse for him than during the Yellow Vests movement," explained the Deputy General Director of Ipsos-Bva, Brice Teinturier, who mentions the difficulties in passing a budget, the decline in purchasing power, or the poor results of the PISA report. "This reinforces the idea that everything is going wrong everywhere," he suggested.

Voters aligned with the coalition Renaissance, MoDem, and Horizons are now the ones who punish the head of state the most: in this block, Macron loses 19 points and is left with 53% of positive opinions.
