The return of four villages to Azerbaijan is a long-awaited historical event.

Axar.az reports that Aykhan Hajizadeh, press secretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Azerbaijan, wrote about this in his X account.

"This is a long-awaited historical event. According to the results of the eighth meeting of the State Commissions on the delimitation of the state border between Azerbaijan and Armenia, Iravan agreed to the return of 4 villages of Azerbaijan that were occupied since the early 1990s," the post said.

It should be recalled that on April 19, 2024, on the border between the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Republic of Armenia, under the chairmanship of the Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Azerbaijan Shahin Mustafayev and the Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Armenia Mger Grigoryan, the State Commission on the Delimitation of the State Border between the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Republic of Armenia and the Republic of Armenia and the Republic of Azerbaijan, the eighth meeting of the Commission on State Border Delimitation and Border Security Issues was held.
