It was reported that the head of our state congratulated Masoud Pezeshkian on his election as the President of the Islamic Republic of Iran and wished him success in his work.

Masud Pezeshkian expressed his gratitude to President Ilham Aliyev for the attention and congratulations, as well as for the letter sent earlier by the head of state on the occasion of the election of the President. The President of Iran said that he will spare no efforts to develop the relations between our countries in all fields in the future.

During the conversation, confidence was expressed that Azerbaijani-Iranian relations based on common religious and cultural roots, friendship and brotherhood will continue to expand and our cooperation covering various fields will develop.

The heads of state emphasized the importance of implementing the agreements reached between our countries.

During the telephone conversation, the presidents of Azerbaijan and Iran discussed issues of mutual interest.

President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev invited Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian to visit our country.

Accepting the invitation with pleasure, the President of Iran expressed his gratitude to the head of our state and, in turn, invited the President of Azerbaijan for an official visit to the Islamic Republic of Iran.
