Russia is ready to return to the "Istanbul principles" for resolving the conflict with Ukraine, but based on new realities.

Axar.az reports that Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov stated this in an interview with Russian media.

"Those principles are about Ukraine not joining NATO, maintaining its non-bloc status, and ensuring its security so that it feels comfortable. These principles remain valid. At the very least, we are ready to return to them, but naturally, taking into account the new realities… because two and a half years have passed since then. These realities were also outlined by President Vladimir Putin, showing the way to a settlement between Ukraine, Russia, and the West," he said.
