Turkiye urges support for COP31 candidacy at COP29

Turkiye is a candidate country to host COP31, and we request the support of our friends for our candidacy.

Axar.az reports that this was stated by Turkiye's Minister of Environment, Urbanization, and Climate Change, Murat Kurum, during the presentation of Turkiye's Long-Term Strategy at COP29 in Baku.

The minister noted that during Turkiye's hosting of COP31, the country will support fair access to climate investment for developing and underdeveloped countries.

"Once again, we thank Azerbaijan for the high-level organization of COP29," the minister added.
