Azerbaijan has expressed condolences to Syria.

Axar.az reports that the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Azerbaijan shared this on its X account.

"We strongly condemn the horrific terrorist attack on Mar St. Elias Church in Damascus, Syria. We extend our deepest condolences to the families of the victims, and all those affected by this senseless act of violence. We stand in solidarity with the government and people of Syria, urging unity against extremism," the statement reads.

Notably, at least 20 people have been killed and 52 more are injured after a “terrorist attack” on a Greek Orthodox church in the Syrian capital on Sunday.
