Georgia pledges support for peace and stability

Georgia continues to firmly promote peace and regional cooperation and is ready to work with all partners to implement international law, protect sovereignty, and ensure long-term peace in the South Caucasus and the OSCE region.

Axar.az reports that these words were made by Georgian Foreign Minister Maka Bochorishvili during his speech at the 32nd meeting of the OSCE Ministerial Council.

According to him, the agreement signed between Armenia and Azerbaijan on August 8 in Washington is an important cornerstone for ensuring lasting peace in the South Caucasus and opens up new opportunities for long-term stability and development in the region.

The Minister welcomed the agreement “On the Establishment of Peace and Interstate Relations between the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Republic of Armenia” reached in Washington through the mediation of the US President.

In his speech, Maka Bochorishvili reaffirmed Georgia's commitment to the principles of the OSCE.
