UEFA fines Ukrainian FA €34,000 over fan behavior

UEFA has fined the Football Association of Ukraine 15 thousand euros.

Axar.az reports that the UEFA press service has published a statement on this.

It was noted that during the match between Ukraine and Iceland in the 2026 World Cup qualifying round, a fan was fined for unfurling a banner with the words "Russia is a terrorist state".

"This banner is unacceptable at a sporting event," the statement emphasized.

The Ukrainian FA will also have to pay a fine of 10 thousand euros for fans entering the field, and 9 thousand euros for the use of pyrotechnics.
