Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov met with his Turkish counterpart Hakan Fidan within the framework of the 11th Summit of the D-8 Economic Cooperation Organization in Cairo.

Axar.az informs that this was reported by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Azerbaijan.

During the meeting, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkiye congratulated Azerbaijan on its election as a member of the Economic Cooperation Organization of eight developing countries (D-8).

At the meeting, the issues arising from the relations of brotherhood and strategic alliance between the two countries, the current situation in Syria and possible areas of cooperation between our countries, as well as plans for humanitarian aid in Syria, were discussed.
