The EU's reluctance to abandon Russophobia will sideline it in global politics. The new package of sanctions against Russia will not lead to peace in Ukraine.
Axar.az reports that this was stated by the head of the Russian State Duma's Committee on International Affairs, Leonid Slutsky, on his Telegram channel.
"The old-school European elites continue to follow the inertia of Biden's legacy. Neither the new sanctions package nor the 'Paris deal,' which Macron has already tried to organize twice, is bringing peace to Ukraine," he said.
Slutsky emphasized that none of the previous Western sanctions packages have forced Russia to disregard its national interests or to change the objectives of the Northern Military District.
