Russia, Azerbaijan discuss strengthening ties

Deputy Foreign Minister of Russia Mikhail Galuzin met with Khalaf Khalafov, Special Representative of the President of Azerbaijan, who is on a working visit to Moscow.

Axar.az reports that the parties stressed their interest in further strengthening relations between Moscow and Baku by the Declaration "On Allied Mutual Activity between the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Russian Federation" signed by the heads of state on February 22, 2022.

The meeting discussed issues of deepening political dialogue and increasing trade and economic cooperation.

The parties also noted the importance of joint work to ensure stability and security in the South Caucasus and the Caspian Sea region.
