The Director of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA), Rafael Grossi, is in Iran.

Axar.az reports that in an interview with the newspaper "Le Monde" before leaving for Iran, he said that Tehran wants his organization to participate in the dialogue between Iran and the United States on the nuclear issue that began in Oman.

He believes that Iran is close to developing nuclear weapons:

"We are not part of the bilateral dialogue between Araghchi and Whitkoff, but we are not indifferent to it either. They know very well that we must have our say in any potential agreement, because we will be the ones to test it. That is why we have started informal exchanges with them."
