French satirical magazine Charlie Hebdo has ignited fresh controversy with its latest cover, featuring a caricature of Iran’s Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei alongside provocative text hinting at his death.

Axar.az reports that the cover reads: “Ali Khamenei – 19 April 1939 –? June 2025,” with a bold red star declaring, “The first to guess the date wins a trip to Tehran.”

The post, shared on the magazine’s official Instagram account, teases topics from the latest issue, including court trials in France, Putin vs. Netanyahu at the ICC, and AI’s impact on copyright law.

Charlie Hebdo, known for its unapologetically provocative satire, has faced backlash and violence in the past for its depictions of Islamic leaders.

The issue is on sale this Wednesday.
