COP29 held in Baku last year is another shining example.

Axar.az reports that this was stated by Binali Yildirim, Chairman of the Council of Elders of the Turkic States Organization, during his speech at the event titled “Multilateralism at the Crossroads: Challenges and the Path to Peace” organized by the Nizami Ganjavi International Center within the framework of the 80th session of the UN General Assembly.

According to him, next year, NATO will hold a meeting in the Turkish capital, Ankara, for its plans:

“This shows that regional players can host global discussions. Projects such as the Middle Corridor and the Zangezur Corridor unite people around culture, economy, and connectivity. These projects connect Asia to Europe through BTC, TANAP, TAP, and others.”

He said that Armenian-Azerbaijani relations could be a new page for stability and cooperation:

“This achievement not only ensures national interests, but also paves the way for regional integration and economic development.”

He noted that Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev is taking the lead in resolving the long-standing Azerbaijani-Armenian conflict.
