On September 24, President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev met with Jenny Johnson, CEO and President of Franklin Templeton, one of the world's largest and most influential global investment managers, in New York.

During the conversation, future directions of cooperation between Azerbaijan and this company were discussed.
Jenny Johnson stated that the economic projects implemented by our country in recent years and the measures taken towards development have created important opportunities for international capital. She also highly appreciated the stable and favorable environment formed for investors in Azerbaijan, noting that this creates a solid foundation for long-term partnership.
It was emphasized at the meeting that Franklin Templeton's many years of successful experience in the fields of capital markets, infrastructure, real estate and renewable energy can contribute to the implementation of Azerbaijan's economic and financial, as well as green agenda.
President Ilham Aliyev, touching upon the company's close cooperation with the State Oil Fund of the Republic of Azerbaijan, said that the existing partnership is also of great importance in terms of deepening the capital markets of our country, strengthening the investment potential of the region, and its sustainable development. The Head of State, touching upon the importance of this company's experience in the field of alternative investment and the successful projects it has implemented, especially in the countries of the region, emphasized that there are broad opportunities for cooperation in this regard.
It should be noted that Franklin Templeton, founded in the United States in 1947, currently manages assets worth approximately 1.6 trillion US dollars. The company has about 70 offices in more than 30 countries and manages more than 1,000 mutual funds and a wide range of investment products in more than 170 countries.
