Iranian Embassy comments on Nakhchivan drone attacks

The Iranian Embassy in Azerbaijan has no information on whether the drones that fell near Nakhchivan Airport deliberately attacked the airport or crashed by accident.

Axar.az reports the embassy stated that they do not have information on whether the drones, believed to be “Shahed” UAVs, deliberately attacked the airport or fell accidentally.

“Fortunately, no serious injuries have been reported. We have no information on whether the drones intentionally targeted the area or fell by accident, and we have not received an official response on this matter,” the embassy added.

Earlier today, Iranian drones struck Nakhchivan International Airport. One drone caused damage to the airport, while the other fell near a school close to the airport. The incident resulted in damage to the airport terminal and injuries to two civilians.
