Evacuation of Azerbaijan’s diplomats in Tabriz completed

The evacuation of the staff of Azerbaijan’s Consulate General in Tabriz, Iran, has been completed.

Axar.az reports that Aykhan Hajizada, Head of the Press Service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Azerbaijan, the majority of the staff at Azerbaijan’s embassy in Tehran has also been evacuated.

It should be noted that yesterday, during a joint press conference in Baku with Moldova’s Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Mihai Popsoi, Azerbaijan’s Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov announced that instructions had been given for the evacuation of staff from both the embassy in Tehran and the Consulate General in Tabriz.
