The peoples of Azerbaijan and Iran will continue to support each other in both good and difficult times, Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev said in a post on his official page.

Axar.az informs that "The gratitude of the President of the Islamic Republic of Iran, my brother Masoud Pezeshkian, toward the people and state of Azerbaijan for support is highly valued by our nation," the post reads.

Aliyev emphasized that the friendly and brotherly peoples of Azerbaijan and Iran have supported each other for centuries.

"Our friendly and brotherly peoples have supported each other for centuries, and we will continue to stand by each other in both good and difficult times," the post said in response to a corresponding message by Pezeshkian.

It should be noted that Masoud Pezeshkian, in a post on his X account on April 3, emphasized that he highly appreciates the sympathy and support shown by the Azerbaijani government and people toward Iran.
