Khojaly genocide victims are commemorated with a minute's silence on Feb. 26 at 17:00 Baku time in the entire territory of Azerbaijan.

Axar.az informs that, traffic on the streets of the capital was stopped at that moment. The state flags of Azerbaijan were lowered in cities and districts, villages and settlements of our country.

Thousands of Azerbaijani citizens visit the memorial to the victims of the tragedy in Khatai district on February 26, honoring the memory of the martyrs, laying wreaths and carnations in front of the monument. The first lessons in educational institutions are dedicated to this tragedy. Commemorative ceremonies are held in all cities and regions of the Republic and abroad.
