We have plans to create thousands of jobs and local manufacturing across the country.

Axar.az reports that President Ilham Aliyev said this during the opening of the largest olive oil and table olive products processing plant in the region of "Absheron Olive Gardens" Limited Liability Company (LLC) in Zira settlement with the representatives of the Italian "Pieralisi" company.

"Of course, we have plans to expand production. So, we plan to use unused land for olive production, especially here - on the Absheron Peninsula and some other areas of Azerbaijan," Ilham Aliyev said.

The president added that it will be necessary to expand production in the near future:

"I think that this is why our cooperation with your company will be of strategic importance. Because there is potential here - in Absheron, as well as in the liberated areas. Of course, all this will be evaluated from the point of view of land, climate, productivity. But we have serious plans to become an important participant. "We also have plans to create thousands of jobs and local production throughout the country."

It should be noted that about 350 people are employed in "Absheron Zeytun Baglari" LLC. In addition to the domestic market, the products will be exported to foreign markets under the "Made in Azerbaijan" brand.
