Surb Sarkis Armenian church located in Ali Pasha Suri district of Diyarbakir province of Turkiye will be restored.

Axar.az reports that the Armenian press published information.

It was reported that the Armenian Patriarchate in Istanbul started repairing the church from June 28.

Although the Ministry of Culture has allocated 5 million liras to Turkiye for repairs, it was told that another 2 million dollars are needed.

Note that the church was also used as a school during the Ottoman Empire.
