On October 3, the Prime Minister of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Ali Asadov, who is on an official visit to Minsk, met with the Prime Minister of the Republic of Belarus, Roman Golovchenko.

Axar.az reports that a meeting of the heads of government was held in a limited composition, then the discussions were continued in a larger composition with the participation of the delegations of both countries.

At the meeting, satisfaction was expressed with the high level of Azerbaijan-Belarus interstate relations, dynamic development of mutually beneficial partnership in various fields as a result of close contacts and joint efforts of the presidents of the two countries was noted.

In this regard, the importance of the state visit of the President of Belarus to Azerbaijan in May of this year was emphasized.

The heads of government discussed the current issues of economic and commercial cooperation. By the end of 8 months of this year, there was an increase in the volume of mutual trade, which amounted to 39 percent. Confidence was expressed that the trend of increasing trade turnover will be supported.

Ali Asadov and Roman Golovchenko also discussed the prospects of further development of mutually beneficial cooperation and expressed their readiness to work together on all relevant issues of mutual interest to Azerbaijan and Belarus.

Regarding the conclusion of the negotiations, a number of documents were signed regarding the development of agricultural production in Agdam region, cooperation in the field of health care, the design of an agro-city in the village of Kizil Kangarli of Agdam region, and the supply of firefighting equipment.
