There is no ideal air defense system. Israel has succeeded in developing extremely modern air defense systems like the Iron Dome and Hetz3, yet low-flying, stealthy drones that adapt to the terrain can exploit vulnerabilities in Israel's air defense system under certain conditions. I believe this is why Israel has missed several strikes.
Axar.az reports that these words were said by military expert Igor Korotchenko, the director of the Caspian Strategic Studies Institute (Russia).
According to the expert, the successful attack on the Israeli military base in Binjamin by Hezbollah’s "Mirsad-1" drones is a result of certain gaps in the air defense systems:
"There is always a competition between attack and defense means. Therefore, Iran and its proxies in the region are developing kamikaze drones that fly at extremely low altitudes, making them difficult to detect by radar or not detected at all."
The expert noted that these are ordinary drones and are not equipped with any advanced, cutting-edge technological equipment that we are unaware of:
"It should be noted that the technologies for developing various types of drones are unified and not specific to any one country. In principle, these are sufficiently simple technological devices that any developed country with a defense complex can improve and mass-produce. Therefore, there is no special 'know-how' involved. I emphasize once again that tracking a drone that flies at extremely low altitudes and attacks targets at night is quite challenging, and at the same time, during a large-scale attack, air defense systems may not succeed in hitting all targets."
It is noteworthy that on October 13, Hezbollah launched a drone strike on the Israeli military base in Binjamin, south of Haifa. As a result, four Israeli soldiers were killed, and 67 were injured.
The drone's invisibility to radar and the failure of the air alert system have raised questions.
