New international channel ANEWZ has been launched

As of November 4, 2024, the international television channel ANEWZ, offering an alternative perspective in global news and analytics, will commence operations.

Axar.az reports that this was announced by renowned journalist and former deputy chairman of AzTV, Rufat Hamzayev.

“Broadcasting seven days a week, 24 hours a day, the channel will deliver the voice of the Caucasus, Central Asia, and the Middle East from Baku to the world—stories that have not been widely heard or presented differently on leading media platforms,” Rufat Hamzayev stated.

He noted that Anyus can be viewed through satellite, digital, and social media channels, with representatives in over 12 countries and broadcasting to more than 110 countries:

“Journalists with extensive experience in the media field from countries such as the UK, the USA, Spain, Portugal, Ukraine, Turkiye, Jordan, Nigeria, Zambia, and others are part of the creative team.

As an international English-language channel, ANEWZ brings together high journalism standards, including both international and local talents. One of the channel's main goals is to contribute to the development of English-language journalism in Azerbaijan.”

It is worth noting that Rufat Hamzayev served as the deputy chairman of AzTV from February 2020 until July 2024.
