Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan has commemorated the victims of the Khojaly massacre on the 33rd anniversary of the tragedy.

Axar.az reports that the Turkish president shared a post on his social media account regarding the anniversary.

"On the 33rd anniversary of the Khojaly massacre, we respectfully commemorate our Azerbaijani brothers and sisters who were killed, a pain we will never forget and a sorrow we will always carry in our hearts.

I extend my condolences to the brotherly people of Azerbaijan, with whom we stand together in both good and bad times."
