The Ministry of Emergency Situations has appealed to the population regarding the expected weather conditions.
Axar.az reported this from the Ministry of Emergency Situations.
It was noted that in the coming days, strong winds, intermittent rain, intense rain in some areas, short-term floods and landslides from some rivers, and lightning are predicted:
“Considering the above, the Ministry of Emergency Situations appeals to the population and calls on them to comply with relevant safety regulations.
Thus, during strong winds, it is recommended to stay away from light-structured and temporary structures, buildings, and billboards, and not to stand under electric poles and wires, or tall trees. Considering the difficulties caused by strong winds in extinguishing fires, fire safety regulations should be observed especially strictly in windy weather. In addition, users of small vessels should take into account that going out to sea in such weather conditions is prohibited.
Also, in order to protect themselves from floods and landslides that may be caused by intense rainfall, it is recommended to stay away from flood-prone areas and immediately rise to a nearby height when faced with this danger.
At the same time, To protect yourself from lightning-related dangers, you should unplug electrical appliances from the network, avoid talking on the phone (landline, mobile, payphone, etc.), avoid approaching power lines, lightning conductors, lightning rods and antennas when outdoors, avoid taking shelter under tall trees and choose a relatively low place for this purpose, and if you are in a car, stop driving, roll up the windows and wait for the lightning to end.
Also, the Ministry of Emergency Situations reminds citizens heading to the beaches that it is dangerous to enter the sea in windy weather and calls on them to strictly follow the relevant safety rules.
Remember: Indifference to the rules is a threat to our lives! In case of danger, call 112!
